Jesus On Purpose: The Path Of A Resurrected Heart - 22
Peter got it right when he said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." But just moments later, Jesus said, "Get behind me, Satan." How can both happen in the same conversation? Because having the right revelation does not automatically produce a surrendered heart.
This week we walked through Matthew 16:13-27 and confronted an uncomfortable truth: we can confess Jesus as Lord and still resist where He leads. We can believe in Him and still tell Him, "Not that. Not there. Not this."
Jesus is not asking for admiration. He is asking for everything. Deny yourself. Take up your cross. Follow Him. The pattern is revelation, surrender, cross, resurrection. The pill is not small, but He does not ask us to swallow it alone.
Come join us or catch the message online. He is still asking the question: but who do you say I am?
