Jesus On Purpose: The Path Of A Resurrected Heart - 24

Can the revelation you receive on the mountaintop survive the reality waiting for you in the valley? In Part 23 of our series, we explored what happens when we come down from those powerful moments with God and face the pressures of everyday life.

Jesus consistently brought his disciples back to the same truth: miracle, cross. Glory, cross. Power, cross. Everything points to surrender. And like the disciples in Matthew 17, we often hear "they will kill me" but miss "he will rise on the third day." We fixate on the grave instead of the resurrection.

The resurrected heart does not live on the mountaintop. It follows Jesus down into real life, trusting again and again, depending on him again and again. As Jesus showed us, possessing a right does not mean we must fight for it every time. True freedom comes from knowing our identity is in him, not in what we protect here on earth.

Do not let what you see in the valley make you forget what Jesus showed you on the mountaintop.
