Jesus on Purpose: The Path of a Resurrected Heart Pt 8
Grace isn't randomly applied—it flows through a particular heart posture. This week we explored the powerful progression: Love leads to obedience, which leads to humility, which leads to grace, which leads to spiritual gifts.
Jesus said, "If you love me, keep my commandments" (John 14:15). It's not about obligation—it's about affection. When we truly love Him, obedience becomes natural. That obedience breaks down our pride and leads to genuine humility. And humility? That's where grace flows freely.
The danger today is building our faith on imitation instead of transformation. We want the gifts without the process. But James 4:6 reminds us: "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." When pressure comes—and it will—only hearts trained in love, obedience, and surrender will stand.
Are you building on a foundation that will last, or on spiritual shortcuts? The resurrected heart isn't formed overnight. It's formed through daily surrender.
