Jesus On Purpose: The Path Of A Resurrected Heart pt 12
"Why are you so afraid?" Jesus asked His disciples as they panicked in the storm—even after witnessing countless miracles. The issue wasn't their weakness. It was their failure to remember what God had already done.
We spend so much time demanding calm before we trust, but Jesus is forming hearts that no longer need everything to be perfect to surrender. Miracles don't remove fear—they expose where trust hasn't been formed. The disciples had Jesus right in front of them and still doubted. How much greater is our opportunity to believe without seeing?
The gap between what Jesus offers (His presence and power) and what we demand (safety and certainty) is where disappointment lives. Resurrection faith means trusting WITHIN the storm, not waiting for it to pass. His presence is enough—even here, even now.
Matthew 8, Mark 4, Romans 5:3-5
